Everything you need to know about Eurovision in 2020

For everyone else, this post details everything you need to know about the Eurovision Song Contest in 2020.
Eurovision 2020: When is it?
The Eurovision Song Contest always takes place for a week in May. Semi-Finals are on Tuesday and Thursday with the Grand Final on Saturday. In 2020 there are four weeks which could host the competition:
- w/c 4th May – Grand Final on 9th May
- w/c 11th May – Grand Final on 16th May
- w/c 18th May – Grand Final 23rd May
- w/c 25th May – Grand Final on 20th May
The dates are usually announced alongside the host city. This is expected in August 2019.
Eurovision 2020: Where is it?
The contest will take place in the Netherlands following Duncan Laurence’s victory in Tel Aviv.
It is expected that the host city will be announced in August 2019. Five cities are still in the running to host the contest. They are:
04/07/2019 – Amsterdam have withdrawn their application to host Eurovision as there are bookings in the Ziggo venue which can’t be cancelled.
Rotterdam and Maastricht are the front runners to host.
At present, there have been no announcements relating to ticket sale. This can happen anytime between December 2019 and March 2020.
